You are never too old to get a beautiful smile!  You are also never too young to start thinking about having a beautiful smile for the rest of your life.  There are many options in the world of orthodontics to look at if you are considering getting braces.  Damon System braces are just one of them.

What is the Damon System?

Not all braces are the same.  Damon System braces are self-ligating braces.  This means that they don't use bands or ties like traditional braces.  Instead, they use a small metal door to hold the high-tech wires in place.  Teeth tend to move quickly and gently.  Plaque build up is less than with some other types of braces, since the ties that attract plaque are not used.

Damon Clear

  • Some people prefer to have braces that are clear, or "invisible."  Damon Clear is an option for those who prefer a more discreet method to teeth-straightening.  Some invisible braces include metal pieces, which make them not so invisible.  Other traditional invisible methods that utilize elastic ties tend to turn yellow.  Damon Clear does not use any metal pieces, nor do they have elastic ties.  They are more resistant to discoloration than some other options.
  • Some brands use clear aligners to straighten teeth.  An aligner is a removable tray that fits over the teeth.  Unfortunately, not everyone is a candidate for aligners.  People with more severe problems, such as severe bite problems, crowding, or spacing, are unlikely to be able to participate in the clear aligner method.  Damon Clear is one option that is available to help both mild and severe orthodontic issues.
  • Damon Clear braces are gentle on your teeth and gums and may be less painful than other options. They don't need to be tightened, which results in fewer office visits.
  • Damon Clear braces, along with the entire Damon System, are options that many orthodontists offer.  They are not considered a type of "special" treatment.  If your dental insurance covers orthodontia, then Damon Clear braces are likely covered.
